The Making Of The New Mac Pro

A lot of us will be buying the new Mac Pro in December when it's released to replace some of the older Mac desktops that our studios now run. I thought that you'd like to see how the new machines are being made in plants in California, Kentucky, Texas, Tennessee Georgia and North and South Carolina. It's an interesting combination of super hi-tech robotics and good old fashioned hand assembly.

I think the new mac is a stunning machine, but useless for musicians who work with PCIe interfaces and else. This little box can't be upgraded or anything else. I will keep my old MacPro als long as possible.

Aren't there Thunderbolt-to-PCIe expansion boxes available? That would solve this particular problem. It seems that is Apple's plan for the new Mac Pro - use Thunderbolt for all expansion.
