As predicted, all the controversy around Abbey Road Studios has led to it being declared a Grade II listed historical building by the British government today.
Grade II means that the interior can be altered by not the outside. This ruling is actually backwards for Abbey Road, since the interior is what really needs to be preserved, but it's a step in the right direction.
