Steely Dan "Hey Nineteen" Isolated Guitar

New York studio guitarist Hugh McCracken recently passed away, and he left a legacy of great playing on records by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, The Four Seasons, Hall & Oats and many more.

As has been the case with many musicians, some of Hugh's greatest moments came playing on Steely Dan and Donald Fagen records. Here's the near isolated guitar track from their "Hey Nineteen," a song from the duo's Gaucho album.

You can hear that this track was isolated using phase shifting techniques, as it's not as clean as many of the tracks you'll hear posted here. You still hear enough of Hugh's playing to appreciate his greatness.
