A movie called Touch the Sound, produced by German director Thomas Riedelsheimer in 2004, focuses on the work and world of nearly-deaf percussionist Evelyn Glennie. Not only can she play, but she's world-class!
Below is a trailer for the movie, which you can see in its entirety on Hulu. Thanks for PR maven Marsha Vdovin for the heads-up on this great piece.

Thank you for this Bob, I picked up your comments on Twitter and will pass onto Evelyn.
Last year I had the privilege to co-compose, record and produce the score for feature film Golf in the Kingdom with Evelyn Gennie. Director Susan Streitfeld said it is ‘a wonderful and fantastic score’ for the film, currently in festivals and screened on Times Square.
‘Evelyn Glennie and her co-composer and producer Ian Dean have created a unique soundscape that illuminates a mystical and enchanting world in which the game of golf is celebrated as a vibrant, close to supernatural and life-changing experience. Evelyn says that she and Ian immensely enjoyed the challenge of creating a film score featuring her huge collection of percussion instruments, gathered from all over the world on her travels as an international virtuoso percussion soloist.’
